Control your data

The GS+ Data Worksheet provides full control over the data used in your analyses, and can hold over a million records

  • Specify your own missing value indicator
  • Temporarily remove values from analyses
  • Assign unique sample IDs to each record
  • Sort even huge datasets on any column title

Summary Statistics

A Data Summary window provides descriptive statistics for the active data set, and provides different transformation options to achieve a more normal distribution.

  • Three transformation functions with offset values
  • Three back transformation options
  • Frequency distributions before vs. after transformation

View your sample locations

The Coordinate Posting window provides a map of sample locations coded by sample values. Values can be visualized as quantiles (groups of equal frequency), even intervals over the data range, or a customized grouping.

  • 2-d scattergrams show underlying data patterns
  • 1-d scattergrams for transect or time series data
  • Click on a map symbol to show sample details

More Data Worksheet Features

Data filtering

Temporarily constrain active data to a particular range of x, y, or z values

Flexible column assignments

Assign columns to values for X and Y coordinates, Z (primary variate), Z2 (secondary variate), and External drift.

Find duplicate values

GS+ finds duplicate values and allows you to choose which one to use, or to average

Append data

Data from multiple files can be appended to existing data when importing

Frequency distributions

Graph cumulative or non-cumulative frequency distributions

Normal probability distributions

Graph normal probability curve for the active data set

Cross-variate regressions

Test the relationship between primary and secondary variates prior to cokriging

Create normalized variogram

Normalize semivariance by the squared average of tail and head values of each distance interval
